Shimmy Fingers Ink Tattoos works as a DOH licensed private studio in Jamaica, Queens, with one independent artist and one-on-one sessions. Booking is by appointment only and walk-ins are turned away. The focus is larger pieces such as portraits, sleeves and back work, drawn freehand from the client's idea as original designs, with realism, fine line detail, 3D and fantasy styles. Cover-ups are offered too, along with work over scar tissue, burns and blemishes, and a photo stencil is printed for the piece. Palm-size tattoos can take roughly 3 hours, and larger pieces are planned as 5 to 10 hour sessions split across appointments. The same artist sells original apparel and merchandise online.
