About Kings Avenue Tattoo
Mike Rubendall opened the first Kings Avenue Tattoo in November 2005, and the studio has since grown to locations in North Carolina and New York, including this Manhattan shop. Its artists are hand-picked from around the world and cover many styles, from Japanese and American traditional to black and gray and realism. The studio aims for one-of-a-kind tattoos designed for each client rather than copied work. Walk-ins are welcome when an artist is free, though booking is the only sure way to get a specific artist. Clients must be 18 or older. Rated 4.8 from 194 Google reviews, 176 of them five stars and 4 one star. A team of four artists works at the New York shop. New York State has no parental consent law for tattoos, so every client must be 18.
